Shelter Plus Care

Shelter Plus Care (SPC) is tenant-based rental assistance specifically for households that are very low-income, chronically homeless, and have one or more adults with disabilities. SPC is only offered in Klickitat and Skamania counties in Washington.

“Chronically homeless” under this program means that the applicant is currently living on the street or other place not meant for human habitation and have been homeless continuously for one year or has had four episodes of homelessness in the last three years.  It does not mean “at risk of homelessness sometime in the future” or staying with family or friends.

Applications for the SPC program are accepted on a referral basis from a social service provider when funds are available.   If you are a social service provider who serves Skamania or Klickitat county, please contact us to get on the email list to get notified when funds come available.
