Who we are
Mid-Columbia Housing Authority (MCHA) and Columbia Gorge Housing Authority (CGHA) work together to create and preserve affordable housing opportunities throughout the Columbia Gorge. We serve communities across Sherman, Wasco, and Hood River Counties in Oregon and Klickitat and Skamania Counties in Washington.
Through a wide range of programs and services, we connect renters, landlords, and homeowners with resources that help people find, maintain, and afford safe, stable housing. We also work to expand the region’s affordable housing supply through our nonprofit development partner, Columbia Cascade Housing Corporation (CCHC), which develops, owns, preserves, and operates affordable housing communities throughout the Gorge.
Together, our organizations are committed to strengthening communities by making quality affordable housing more accessible to the people who live and work here.
Our Mission
To promote adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a suitable living environment, free from discrimination to those who have barriers due to income or disability. The Mid-Columbia Housing Authority (MCHA) also administers housing programs for the Columbia Gorge Housing Authority (CGHA) and provides all staff support for Columbia Cascade Housing Corporation (CCHC), an affiliated non-profit organization.
