Are you looking for a place to live? Are you a homeowner in need of assistance? Is your home in need of repairs? Are you looking to buy a home?

These are our currently available assistance programs design for you.

DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE

The down payment program offers to $5,000 towards the purchase price or closing costs of a home purchase.  Must be first time home buyers and income guidelines do apply.

FORECLOSURE PRVENTION

The Mid-Columbia Housing Resource Center provides free counseling for homeowners who are in foreclosure or pre-foreclosure. We are also the local representative of the Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance (OFA) Program, which is a mandatory, statewide foreclosure mediation program. Before most lenders can begin foreclosure of a residential trust deed, they must request a face-to-face meeting with the homeowner through OFA.

HOME REPAIR PROGRAM

Mid-Columbia Housing Resource Center is accepting applications for the Home Repair Programs in both Oregon and in Washington.  These programs will provide loans up to $25,000 for low to moderate income homeowners to make needed health and safety repairs to their homes using local contractors. The home repaired must be your primary residence.

HOME BUYER CLASSES

Think you can’t buy a home? You might be greatly surprised. Come to this class to learn about the entire process of purchasing a home. Columbia Cascade Housing offers Home buying classes through the Columbia Gorge Community College throughout the year.  Cost is $30 and registration is through CGCC at 541-506-6011.  All classes are located at The Dalles or Hood River campuses of CGCC.
